Hey, everyone! My name is Ashley and I am so excited to talk about this Balboa Park Engagement Session. I am an engagement photographer based out of San Diego, California and I love photographing couples who love warmth and value photography. For me, it’s all about capturing moments that bring joy into their lives. Imagine having an engagement session at sunset, with the warm sun raying through a park. It’s moments like this that bring me joy, and I love delivering images to each couple so they can cherish them forever! Which is why I loved this engagement session and am so excited to share with you about this couple!

Meet Jaclyn & Nick

One night, a guy named Nick was hosting a party. His one friend invited Jaclyn as her plus-one to come and hang out with the crew. The moment she met his eyes, she immediately thought he looked like Mac Miller! It was not long into the party that they started to connect on a personal level and both wanted to take it further in a relationship. It’s a perfect story for when you just KNOW that you found your forever soulmate.

The following day, they made plans to drive through the night to catch the sunrise the following morning. They listened to old rock (think Queen, Journey, and The Eagles) and finally made their way to the place that would change their lives. Setting an alarm, they took a nap, and woke to the view of the sunrise over East New York. It was in this moment, that they became official.

Now, they have a life together! They drove cross country, away from their friends and family, and created a new story. The next chapter of their lives, so to speak.

Balboa Park Engagement Session

This sunset engagement was truly magical! I loved getting to capture some real special romance between Jaclyn and Nick. It’s easy to see how much they are in love with each other, and I will forever be grateful that they hired me to capture their engagement session!
