Imagine being at the same party as your soulmate but having no idea they are there. Kevin and Kristy met through mutual friends. At one point, they were at the same Quinceanera and not once interacted or chatted with each other. Then, during their senior year in High School, they were introduced by a friend who wanted them to meet each other. You can guess how it goes from there, but I still would love to share their story and how we ended up taking Papago Park engagement photos!

Hey, everyone! I’m Ashley! A San Diego based wedding photographer but someone who has been traveling a lot lately for work. Trust me, I am not mad about it! I love getting to explore this country, take beautiful photographs in different states, and meet incredible people! My time behind the camera has been a blessing because I have been making couples very happy by capturing their love story!

The Proposal

Both Kevin and Kristy moved to Arizona from San Diego to create a new life for each other. Something they wanted to start on their own in a bran new location and establish a family there. I loved this idea because I feel as though you can learn so much when you leave your home town.

This past June, Kevin knew it was time to finally pop the question to Kristy and ask her to be his wife. With the help of the hot sun dipping behind them, causing a warm glow during the proposal, this moment was even more pure magic and love. My photography side is geeking out, because I could not have asked for better lighting!

We spent that evening taking engagement photos all around Papago Park and the Botanical Gardens, and I am just so excited to share with you all my favorites from this day!
